Hello! I’m Andrew Bott, a freelance supply chain and operations consultant based in Chicago. I help young, exciting food and beverage companies realize their potential, scale for growth, and achieve savings through efficiencies.

I’m currently available for consulting engagements.

I’m a seasoned supply chain professional with over 15 years experience. I started my career in supply chain at two very large companies - Walmart and Unilever. My MBA experience at NYU encouraged me to pave a new path, which eventually meant swapping the corporate world for startup life.

I bring 8+ years in supply chain and operations leadership roles at startups in a variety of stages, including Pure Growth Organic (snacking), Maple Hill Creamery (dairy), SuckerPunch Gourmet (snacking/mixers), and Caulipower (frozen).

I’m passionate for challenging and changing the status quo, and helping small, emerging food and beverage brands achieve their goals.

My years of industry experience comes with access to an array of partners and suppliers who share a similar passion.

My services include:

Network design and optimization

Help brands analyze their current supply chain networks, and make recommendations and implement strategies to improve current route to market, support new product or platform launches, and scale for growth. Cold chain logistics consulting.

Transportation optimization

Achieve transportation scale through freight pooling and consolidation. Guide brands to the right partners that understand and are equipped to achieve retailers OTIF delivery requirements.

Supply Chain Planning and S&OP

Copacker Management

Build teams and platforms to enable demand/supply and S&OP functions across smaller organizations. Help companies establish forecast accuracy metrics and accountability, identify areas of opportunity, better predict sales, and achieve working capital savings.

Manage copackers, from day-to-day planning through to testing new machinery and launching entirely new product platforms. Support launching innovations, focused on snacking, dairy, and aseptic beverage categories.

Contract Negotiation and Management

Help organizations identify key issues, areas of concern, and “what-if” questions to help guide negotiations that are often dynamic and sometimes contentious.
